Tengjhih National Forest Recreation Area

The area is known as "Little Xito in southern Taiwan"; the artificial plants are
in this district; so some original beauties are still maintained. Several systems
of walking trails are organized at the elevation of 1,800 meters. Due to the season’s
change, the plants present all kinds of styles.

Hiking Trail on Qiwa Mountain

|
|
Qiwa Mountain:There are four climbing-mountain ports around Qiwa Mountain. The end
is a pavilion, being on the top of mountain. And it is at the 318-meter elevation;
East next to Mino Plain, West is next to Qishan River and Qishan Township, North
is next to Shanlin Township and Yuantan Plain, South is next to the port of Nantzuhsien
River. It is with an excellent view.

The Footpath on Jiguan Mountain

Jiguan Mountain is also called as "Gold Mountain". It stands greatly. And if walking
along the trail of footpath up to the top of hill, we are able to watch down the
nearby terrains and the bad topography. And we also can watch the beautiful view-Agongdian
reservoir. The shellfishes and fossils, being on the hillside, also provide a good
evidence for making exercises. It’s an excellent place for teaching and educating
the nature.

The Hiking Footpath on Phoenix Mountain
|

|
|
Phoenix Mountain is located in the suburb of Fengshan City; its elevation is 71.4
meters; it was an original field for Chinese Military Academy and Army Training
School; the general public can not be allowed to enter inside before; but now, during
the day-time, it’s open for public hiking; it’s let the people enjoy a more convenient
and easy resting space.

The Footpath on Soul Mountain, Meinong

|
|
In Meinong, the length of “Hikng Footpath of Soul Mountain” is about 1 km; and the
elevation is 476 meters, the trails of Hiking Footpath mostly are cement road and
asphalt road; so it is suitable for the whole family to participate in the activity.
End trail of hiking footpath is a more stable area which is between Soul Mountain
and Head Mountain; Nantzuhsien River goes through on the bottom of mountain; still
be able to watch down the beautiful view of plain.

The Hiking Footpath on Dagang Mountain

|
|
Dagang Mountain is a famous Buddhist spots in southern Taiwan; there are many old
temples and caves in the area, as well as the rich coral reefs, limestone terrains
and stalactite caves constitute and diverse into a kind of fascinating landscape.
The traffic, being in this region, is very dense; and it’s a good place to outgoing
for the nearby public people.

The Hiking Footpath on Liuyi Mountain

|
|
The Hiking Footpath is made by copying old Japanese trails during the time of Japan
government; the concrete paved roads make walking more smooth; take about 3 hours
to finish full walking; it is selected as “Hiking Footpath with National Level”
by the Forest Service. On the top of mountain, still can look down the view of Tainan
County, and also can overlook Jiaxian Township and the whole view of Nanhua Reservoir.

The Hiking Footpath on Kuanyin Mountain

|
|
The geology of Kwun Yam Mountain mostly is Nanshih sandstone; through the weathering,
the quality of soil becomes very soft, so the public can hike the mountain with
barefoot; it’s Taiwan's first barefoot park. On the way, most of the steps are along
the trail, but the vision is so great; the vision is covered with the whole view
of Kaohsiung City.
