Coming from Malaysia, when Fish Leong finishes her work in Kaohsiung, she goes to Liouhe Night Market to enjoy the gourmet food there. She tastes almost everything, from the eel noodles and fried spareribs at the entrance of the street, to the mullet roe served at the end of the road. Stall after stall, she tastes all the snacks until her tummy is full.
Her favorite is shrimp, steam-bathed in salt. Coldwater shrimps, with eggs in their bellies, are sweet, with the aroma of pepper salt. It drives you hungry just imagining it. The perfect set meal: winter melon and fried spareribs soup is the best during the winter. The tasty eel noodles are nice too. The fresh and juicy eel meat is pure and fragrant, and the chewy Yi noodles are simply the best. Served with a thick soup, it is quite delicious. After the meal, a glass of papayas milk is perfect. In the Liouhe Night Market, all the best gourmet snacks in Kaohsiung can be found. She eats until she is full.
