After Typhoon Morakot struck Taiwan in 2009, Forest became an important base for rebuilding homes, and the campus contained a church, workshop, Hope Square, indigenous culture park, and Minzu Dai Elementary School, but the most precious of the Park's contents was the models made by residents on the basis of their own legends, totems and color, forming a “family language' unique to the Da Ai Park District. These totems also represent the legends and memories of the whole community.
