Originally a desolate mountain peak, Holy Mt. Zion was later developed by a group of devout Mormons, like a Shangri-la. Although remote, it is well-planned, with a car park, snack stalls, paths, a lake and all kinds of venue required for Mormon activities -it has everything one could want. As it lies in the mountains, it is a great place to escape the heat of summer, and is at its most beautiful around the Spring Festival, when the plum flowers bloom.
