Introduction
Meinong has is known as the hometown of the “father of modern Taiwanese literature”, the writer Zhong Li-he. The idea of constructing the Zhong Li-He memorial Hall began in 1979, when 6 literary figures, Lin Hai-Yin, Chong Chao-Chen, Yeh Shih-Tao, Cheng Ching-Wen, Li Qiao, and Zhang Liang-Ze, felt that native Taiwanese writers had been unfairly suppressed and ignored since the Japanese Colonial Era. The idea met with an enthusiastic response from the public, and the Zhong Li-He Memorial hall became the first citizen writer memorial hall built in Taiwan through the joint effort of the people – it should be cherished.
