The Duona Suspension Bridge
The Duona Suspension Bridge, which spans Zhuokou River and connects the two mountains of Meiya Valley and Duona, is 232 meters long and 103 meters tall. As its name implies, is it a high, precipitous suspension bridge. It has been an important passage
for the Rukai people since the Japanese Colonial Era, floating in the clouds between the mountains like a rainbow. Its heads are decorated with Rukai totems like water caltrops, lily figs and hundred-pace vipers, which are particularly set off by the turquoise
mountains and green water.
