The Wude Martial Arts Center

Update:2020-11-17
8302
Introduction
Constructed in 1924, the Wude Martial Arts Center is divided into a Kendo area in the East and a Judo area in the west, and can accommodate 100 people. It was constructed in the Japanese Colonial Period to provide a place for police officers and young students to practice Kendo and Judo. This is Taiwan's only heritage site preserved in its entirety and used for its original purpose: it is a historic martial arts space which combines culture, sport and tourism. The Chinese Tang-dynasty style has been incorporated within the red brick structure and design of the main entrance, but the building's most remarkable feature is the target reliefs  on the walls.
