Situated within the travel mecca that is the Chengcing Lake Scenic Area, the Kaohsiung (Chengcing Lake) Golf Course, which opened in 1961, occupies an area of 74 hectares, approximately ¼ of the area of Chengcing Scenic Area. The sight of the lake, mountains and cushion of green grass is an uplifting sight. Advanced course planning has led to it being recognized as one of the premiere golf courses in southern Taiwan, and it is most noted for its 7,000 yard fairway, which once raised many famous international golfers.
