Kaohsiung Cultural Center's grounds cover an area of 7.055 ha., a symbol of the construction of culture in Kaohsiung, and provide a place for the citizens of Kaohsiung to rest and stroll. As well as the Performing Arts Hall which hosts performances, the Cultural Center also has an artefact display hall, memorial hall, meeting hall, exhibition room and library. To one side, the Avenue of Citizens' Art features a stone drum, sunlight relay station, sculpture art, a creative bus stop, and love poem path, all of which mold a rich culture feeling. The art market which is held every Saturday and Sunday evening is another stage for artists and cultural products.
