Over 200 years have passed since the Kaijhangshengwang Temple (Sacred King-Developer of Zhangzhou) was built, and together with Shuangci Pavilion, the City God Temple and Longshan Temple, is known as one of the 4 Great Ancient Temples of Fongshan District. The temple is primarily dedicated to Chen Yuan-Guang, a prominent official of the Tang dynasty who pacified Fujian for the Tang Dynasty in Tang Gao-Zong's reign. There are also figures representing General Ma Ren and General Li Bo-Yao. Although the temple has undergone several rounds of refurbishment, it retains many stone carvings with exquisite craftsmanship. This temple is still used today and touched by the gods, it is an important local religious center.
