The underground water of Dashu in Kaohsiung is famous for its purity, and there are two natural wells in Longmu which look like a dragon's eyes, one large and one small, and so the are is known as the Dragon Eyes Well (Longmujing). The spring water here is incomparably sweet, and it was listed as a famous Taiwanese spring in the Japanese Colonial Period. Recently, the Longmu Community Development Association has launched plans for experience activities using pineapples and making pineapple soy sauce, and also holding the Kaohsiung Pineapple Festival in April and May each year.
