Introduction

The Cijin Round-Island Bike Path has 5 main circuits, of which the circuit, the “Maxwell Memorial Bike Path”, is the most outstanding, named after Dr. Maxwell, who came to Taiwan to teach medicine in the 19th century; it might be considered a historic scenic bike trail. Turn and ride towards the Beach Park, and cycle through the scenic district, into the wind, to the beach and you will eventually reach the Redlight Wharf, where you can be sure of a fascinating sight, whether watching the sun set in the west or seeing a ship enter the port.
