Kaohsiung brightened up by riverside lights

Love River is an important scenic spot of Kaohsiung. Visitors come to the riverside, to take a boat tour or a leisurely walk. Hence, as the area’s facilities started to wear down, the city government set out to refurbish them. So far a number of tourist highlights have been re-enhanced between Kaohsiung Bridge and Jianguo Bridge. This busy section now looks anew, and is safe and comfy for use. The government expects that in this way all visitors can enjoy their time in Kaohsiung more.
Just for example, visitors now like to take photos by the artistic “LOVE” installation by the river’s tourist-boat boarding gate. They also like to visit the city’s tourism bear mascots by the Kaohsiung Bridge - the lovely “Kaohsiung Heroes” which are ready to bring joy and fun to people.
Starting in this year, Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau even provides public gondola services. Likewise, the gondola pier is full of visitors wanting to take pictures, not just for gondola rides.
At this moment, Kaoshiung Bridge and Zhongdu Bridge are being renewed again. Zhongdu Bridge in particular is being painted in red. The waterfront Circular Line also gives the city a youthful look.
When the night falls, Kaohsiung Bridge shines bright like a rising star on the city’s map. Light shows take place every hourly, turning the river into a sparkling belt. The dazzling reflection of Kaohsiung Bridge makes the Love River magnificent again. The city’s residents and foreign visitors alike are cordially invited to spend some leisurely time by the Love River.
