Cijin to hold black sand festival

Touting “mermaids in Cijin” and “splendid Kaohsiung,” this year’s Cijin Black Sand Festval presents to the public a fantastical paridise made with sand sculptures and drift wood installation art. The eight-week festival includes sand sculpture class, movie nights, evening road running, surfing, volleyball games, kite shows, indigenous music concerts, and tourist markets.
