To promote the New Southward Policy and seeing that the city needs more tourism professionals, the Tourism Bureau, MOTC organized the Training for Tourism Professionals of Rare Languages in Southern Taiwan, as assisted by the Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau. Immigrants and students from Southeast Asia were invited to teach their languages.
