To increase Taiwan’s presence in the Southeast Asian tourism market, Kaohsiung City’s Tourism Bureau held a tour-guide training program on August 3-5. A total of 50 new immigrants from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Cambodia took part, learning the tourist environs of Kaohsiung. The attendants all aim to acquire professional tour-guide certificates afterwards while helping to instill tourism energy into the city.
