Results of a food recommendation contest comes out

The Tourism Bureau of Kaohsiung just held the 2019 Military Dependents’ Village Food Recommendation Contest, which included three categories: delicacies, flour-based food, and table meals. Five winners were selected for each category, and on April 11 an award ceremony was held at “Four Seasons One Family” in Kaohsiung.
Many types of famous military dependents’ village food originate in Kaohsiung. These types of food are a brainchild of the war period and a combination of local and mainland Chinese cultures.
The old Gushan Cave Military Base will reopen by middle to end of April. Visitors are encouraged to take a military sightseeing tour and explore military dependents’ village food then.
