According to the Tourism Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, from January to June, 2019, the number of overnight guests in Kaohsiung reached 4,588,000, marking a 21% year-on-year increase. This included 3.11 million Chinese visitors, equaling a 20% year-on-year increase. The number of other overseas visitors accounted for 1.48 million, marking a 23% growth.
Kaohsiung City Government holds a wide range of activities monthly, inspect hotels and B&Bs regularly, and provide tourist shuttle services. These efforts have brought about a substantial growth in the number of visitors and overnight guests alike. The city’s Tourism Bureau has truly been successful in terms of tourism marketing.
