After more than 700 days of hard work, a baby pygmy hippopotamus was finally born at Shoushan Zoo. Through a naming activity, it was decided that it would be called Yuan Bao. On the nation’s birthday, October 10, the zoo received visitors for free, and sent the baby pygmy hippo out to greet them.
Yuan Bao actually also celebrated the hippo’s four-month birthday on that day. A “drool-withdrawing” party was held, and “drool-withdrawing” cakes in special shapes and fine gifts were distributed for free. An AR coloring event took place. Visitors, young and old, enjoyed the festive occasion deeply.
