Taiwan Design Expo, the annual large-scale design event, is co-hosted by a different city in each of its editions. With the diligent bidding of the Kaohsiung City Government, the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI) announced that the Taiwan Design Expo will be held in Kaohsiung in 2022! Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai states, “We are grateful for the trust in Kaohsiung and invite all to the 2022 Taiwan Design Expo. See you all in Kaohsiung!”

Mayor Chen Chi-mai wrote on Facebook that Kaohsiung is a coastal city that deeply depends on the ocean for its development. In 2012, Taiwan Design Expo was held in Kaohsiung  for the first time, which struck up a conversation between the City and the Pier-2 Art Center, and led the transformation of the old port area. The Taiwan Design Expo will be located on the waterfront at the Kaohsiung Port Warehouses, Pier-2 Art Center, and Kaohsiung Music Center with the most stunning panorama and a passionate, hospitable atmosphere.

The Taiwan Design Expo returned to Kaohsiung after 10 years. In 2012, it arrived at the Pier-2 Art Center under the theme of "Passion Design." How will the 2022 Taiwan Design Expo look like? Everyone is looking forward to it!
