t'way Airlines is the only airline offering direct flights from Kaohsiung to Jeju Island, giving southern travelers more options to visit Korea! In addition to the original Kaohsiung - Seoul Incheon/Gimpo routes, t'way Airlines launched a new 'Kaohsiung - Jeju' route on April 22, with 4 flights per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays), providing more opportunities for southern travelers to travel abroad with multiple flight options!

To celebrate the inaugural flight to Jeju, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Kaohsiung International Airport Visitor Service Center, and the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau have prepared a warm welcome with lots of gifts for the first batch of Korean passengers. We look forward to welcoming more Korean travelers flying into Kaohsiung in the future to experience the warmth and endless charm of southern Taiwan.

Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau Director, Min-Lin Kao, stated that Kaohsiung places great importance on exchanges and cooperation with Korea. Last year (2024), the Tourism Bureau invited Kaohsiung tourism industry representatives to Seoul, South Korea, for a tourism promotion event. They also visited the Korea Tourism Organization, the Global Cities Tourism Development Organization (TPO), the Busan Tourism Organization, and the Busan Tourism Association. According to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications' Tourism Bureau statistics, South Korea ranks among the top three countries for inbound tourism to Taiwan. Last year (2024), the number of South Korean visitors to Taiwan reached one million, with the highest increase of 44.52% in foreign tourists staying in Kaohsiung, indicating that Kaohsiung has become an important travel destination for Korean tourists. Kaohsiung offers unique mountain, sea, and harbor landscapes, as well as Michelin-starred restaurants and a variety of local specialties, greatly enhancing the city's tourism appeal. t'way Airlines has recently added a 'Kaohsiung - Jeju' route, further facilitating travel for Korean tourists to Kaohsiung. In the future, the city will continue to promote tourism development to attract more international visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich culture of the harbor city.

To celebrate the launch of t'way Airlines' Kaohsiung-Jeju route, the Jeju Tourism Organization will hold a special welcome ceremony at the Jeju International Airport arrival hall on April 22, the day of the inaugural flight, to greet travelers arriving from Kaohsiung. The event will feature exquisite souvenirs, with the hope that travelers will feel the warmth and sincerity of Jeju and create unforgettable travel memories on the island.
