International-Level Cruise Travel Hub
As Taiwan's largest port, Kaohsiung Port thrives with the Asia-Pacific cruise tourism industry. The Kaohsiung City Government and Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd. are working to promote port-city cooperation and waterfront development, creating the Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal and making it the most critical ocean gateway in southern Taiwan. The cruise terminal can accommodate two luxury cruise ships with a displacement of 225,000 tons simultaneously, improving the visibility of international shipping in Kaohsiung and playing an essential role in the urban planning of the Asia New Bay Area. Through the light rail transit, the tourism center connects to large-scale constructions such as the Pier-2 Art Center, Kaohsiung Music Center, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, and Kaohsiung Main Public Library, jointly shaping the new skyline of Kaohsiung Waterfront.

Architectural Design: Streamlined and Dynamic to Integrate Ocean Imagery
The Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal takes inspiration from the dynamics of ocean waves and fluids to create a streamlined building resembling a silver-white giant ship. The 3D curved heavy curtain design makes the entire structure look like a vast whale dwelling. Not only does it showcase a sense of the future, but it is also a sustainable green building combining aesthetics and functionality, becoming a new symbol of Kaohsiung Port.

Functions and Services of the Cruise Terminal
The central tower of the Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal is 15 stories high. The 1st and 2nd floors are the international passenger immigration hall, which provides 22 manual clearance counters, four two-way facial recognition systems, automatic tax refund machines, AI instant translation machines, automatic foreign currency exchange machines, and other intelligent services. There are also duty-free shops and a food court, providing international travelers with a convenient entry experience.
