It was rebuilt in imitation Qing style, with dragon eaves and a pheonix pavilion, and four large characters “Da Qi Wen Ming” , have been inscribed upon the gatehouse. Lying on the principal axis passing through the village, the gatehouse has borne witness to the development of Meinong, and Meinong River, below the gate, was where the women used to wash clothes.
