Pier2 Art Center

An art district closest to the harbor, it is the new base of creativity for the people of Kaohsiung. It incorporates the energy of design and youth, connecting with the world through art and culture.

Hamasen Railway Cultural Park

The former Kaohsiung Port Station has been fully renovated to create the Takao Railway Museum. The museum preserves the atmosphere of the railway boom from 1960–1970. The expansive outdoor lawn features multiple public art installations and old locomotives, making it an excellent location for children and adults to rest, take photos for social media, and listen to stories.

Hamasen Museum of Taiwan Railway

Hamasen Museum of Taiwan Railway features a display of HO-scale scenery, tracks, and model trains. Thirty select model trains move dynamically amidst more than 200 pieces of scenery, creating a vividly entertaining spectacle. The Hamasen Pier-2 Line mini-train loops around Taiwan’s first fixed 5” track in a to-scale recreation of the electric train’s route through the Penglai Pier-2 warehouse district, completing each loop in approximately 8 minutes.

Located at Wharf No.2 of Kaohsiung Harbor, it used to be a warehouse for storing granulated sugar for export during the Japanese colonial period. Jinzhan Harbor Cruise

Every day at sunset, the cruise sets out from the sun-gilded Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No. 2 and passes Love River, 85 Sky Tower, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, Singuang Ferry Wharf, Asia New Bay Area, and Kaohsiung Music Center, allowing groups of visitors to experience Kaohsiung’s rich ocean culture and distinctive ocean sunsets, enjoy Kaohsiung’s ocean scenery, and record their own travel maps.

Shoushan Zoo

An excellent place for people to enjoy leisure activities, the zoo features large-scale animal exhibits, including the Taiwan Native Animal area, Kid’s Farm, Bird Exhibit, Education Center, Water Plaza, and more.

Cijin Shell Gallery

Displays specimens of approximately 2,000 shellfish species and 200 crab species. The museum’s treasures include the world’s largest bivalve and a precious collection of other rare and beautiful shellfish.
