It includes two major tourism highlights, "Cihou Lighthouse" and "Cishan Old Street," with additional stops to enjoy the Meinong Hakka Town atmosphere, the "Lotus Pond" beauty, and a walk through Tianliao's Moon World. Travelers will stay at the five-star Grand Hilai Kaohsiung and feast on seafood cuisine, enjoying a five-star banquet. Tourism Bureau Director Kao, Min-lin stated that Kaohsiung's five major tourism highlights include "Love River Bay and Great Harbor Bridge, Cihou Lighthouse, Shoushan Zoo, Cishan Old Street, and Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum." Each highlight is quite spectacular and filled with cultural and spiritual connotations, worth visiting again and again. To strengthen Kaohsiung's tourism highlights in domestic travel itineraries and respond to market demand and highlight characteristics, the Bureau has specifically collaborated with renowned Lion Travel to launch the market-appealing "Double Flag Tour," hoping to attract more people domestically to deeply understand the excitement of Kaohsiung tourism.

Director Kao, Min-lin emphasized that the "Double Flag Tour" itinerary first chooses the "Cihou Lighthouse," which is spectacular both day and night, as the starting point. From here, visitors can view the beautiful sea scenery of ships entering the port, which is a particularly beloved Kaohsiung attraction among foreign travelers. Next, stroll along Cijin Old Street, sampling local classic snacks such as sliced tomatoes with sauce, big bowl ice, and grilled squid, which offer a special flavor experience. Cijin Tianhou Temple, Kaohsiung's first temple to enshrine Mazu, is located here. Tourists can pray for peace amidst the 300-year-old temple's burning incense. Afterward, take the ferry to the Pier-2 Art Center, enjoying the gentle caress of the sea breeze and the scenery of Kaohsiung's bustling great harbor. Travelers can roam freely, feel the City’s unique artistic atmosphere and aesthetics, or immerse themselves in sunset, art, and culture.

The Tourism Bureau explained that the second day's itinerary leads travelers to see Kaohsiung from a different angle, exploring different scenery from sea to mountains. The journey begins at Kaohsiung's renowned tourist attraction, "Lotus Pond" scenic area, especially the iconic landmark "Dragon and Tiger Pagodas" by the pond, which was specially recommended by CNN as having the most traditional religious characteristics. Then, move on to Meinong Folk Village to experience Hakka culture. The folk village completely preserves the simple features of Hakka culture. Visitors can appreciate and DIY traditional crafts like tung oil paper umbrellas and pottery wheel throwing. Nearby are ox cart wheels, stone mills, and small pools shaped like early farming villages, creating a quaint atmosphere that makes visitors want to stay longer. Next, explore the former sugar industry hub "Cishan Old Street," admiring the historical traces that blend European Baroque style, Chinese residences, Taiwanese courtyard houses, and Japanese architectural styles, reminiscing about past prosperity. Finally, travelers are taken to Tianliao Moon World, which resembles the surface of the moon, to observe up close the unique badland, a rare landform even in a global sense, experiencing an immersive geography lesson.

The Tourism Bureau added that the Tourism Administration, MOTC is strongly marketing the "Taiwan Tourism 100 Spotlights" domestic travel through the "Island-wide Monthly Party" series themes, complemented by food, accommodation, travel, shopping, and transportation discounts, prize draws, and "Spotlight Collection Fun."
